It was wonderful to spend the entire weekend in my new studio working on abstract tree landscapes. This allows me to combine two of my favorite pastimes – painting abstracts and trees.
“Vision Rouge” is the first piece and is full of the most vibrant reds, rich and dramatic and crying out for attention. With the addition of some green gold landscape with chocolate brown tree trunks with more vibrant red trees. This piece is very dramatic because of the rich colors and bold contrasts.
The second canvas “Morning Glory” is also dramatic in a much more subtle way. Rich in chocolate browns, greens and tans with white and a hint of orange. The secret surprise is there is lots of gold leaf in the trees giving it rich deep golds reflecting the light. A photograph of this piece does not do it justice as it cannot convey the gold and the texture.
I will also include a detail shot of the trees below. If you love this piece and you purchase it you would want to put a spotlight directed over the trees to be able to see its full beauty.
Let me know what you think in the comments below – please do not be shy. Are you aware that many bloggers stop blogging because hardly anyone takes the time to comment. I am not about to stop blogging however I would truly love it if more people took the time to comment!
Wishing you a loving, creative, healthy and joyful Thanksgiving. I am thankful to have the freedom to express myself creatively, to have a beautiful studio and yummy paints and love in my heart. I will not go into how I feel about my gorgeous husband and loved ones. What and who are you thankful for? ♥ ♥
